IOC – NOT testing female Olympians testosterone levels for hyperandrogenism in London

I have sent a request to the International Olympic Committee to send out a Press Release, to let athletes and the media know they are NOT testing female Olympians testosterone levels for hyperandrogenism in London. have been inundated by media asking me these questions, and hearing from fellow athletes. It is unnecessary stress on so many of the women.

As noted in The Globe & Mail today:

Canadians pass pre-Games doping tests

That as noted 6,250 samples will be taken at the games and prior too as noted by the Canadian Centre of Ethics in Sport (CCES), and that pre-screening, ALL Canadian women have passed through. As we understand, PCOS statistically effects approx. 1/5 women between ages 8-45.

For the purpose of illustration, if we were only 10% bottom of the scale of women, approx. (300) hundred women would be effected in London. Hearing from  girlfriends who are Olympians competing in London,  in who have PCOS and knowingly have elevated natural serum testosterone levels have NOT been challenged.

We know, this would effect older Olympians and new… Gender conformity is NOT in question, Testosterone levels are.

Next point, Fox News is reporting this morning:

Chinese Olympian’s world-record swimming performance brings talk of doping
Read more: “Click Here”

Sixteen year old, swimming star Ye Shiwen as we know has been amazing. Thus her success has been questioned “of one of doping”, and not of raised natural serum testosterone levels, “female hyperandrogenism and or her gender”

Why we ask, because she appears “feminine enough”.

As we know as the IOC has not made it clear, raised testosterone levels have nothing to do with ones gender/intersex. A much bigger point, as noted as approx. 1/5 women have PCOS from ages 8-45, of which does not effect their outwardly appearance, (suggesting under the IOC guidelines of female, being non-female which we know is not true as the true science shows and how common raised testosterone in women actually is – Testosterone, is an everybody hormone.)

To make it really clear and  simple to understand, the Hyperandrogenism Rule created by the IOC as Arne Ljungqvist Chair of the IOC Medical Commission and Co-father off gender testing Myron Genel (Yale) has explained in their answers to the media on several occasions (is about them/protecting them not the athlete in question and or other athlete raising the concern). It is designed for the sole purpose for the IOC to avoid potential litigation from OTHER athlete complaints is an athlete “appears to strong bodied”, that their is a rule in place for a course of action against an athlete, because another woman doesn’t like what another woman looks like.  This is called, “selective discrimination”.  This empowers the system, to respond if and when there is a complaint.  It is no different then past gender policies and how they have been developed in used in such an Adhoc manner, violating, disempowering and humiliating women as history has shown over and over again, over (5) decades.

It is that simple…

Myron Genel Interview July 26th

New policy requires some Olympians to submit to gender tests

Lastly, As noted by anti-doping manager in writing at the CCES – reason for testing “natural testosterone levels in an individual athlete”, which is standard practice.

“…fluctuations in these hormones may be indicative of the use of Prohibited Substances and/or Methods. It may also serve as a screening tool to perform more detailed analysis of a sample for specific substances (e.g. synthetic testosterone). The laboratory would “only” report an adverse analytical finding (ie. positive test) if the presence of an exogenous (synthetic) form of a Prohibited Substance was detected.”

Otherwise, the female athletes “natural serum testosterone levels are unrecorded”.

This has absolutely nothing to do with an athtlete’s performance/actual serum testosterone levels, if it did, approx. based on statistics (300) athletes would have already been notified prior/or in London.

This has NOT happened and is NOT part of the anti-doping standards testing procedures.

Canadian Sports Ministry Turns “Blind Eye” to Gender Verification Testing at Vancouver Winter Olympics, violating Canada’s Charter of Rights and Human Rights Laws.

Canadian Sports Ministry Turns “Blind Eye” to Gender VerificationTesting at Vancouver Winter Olympics, violating Canada’s Charter of Rights and Human Rights Laws.

Canadian Sports Ministry Sport Canada, led by Director General Martin Boileau, knowingly turned a “blind eye” to gender testing of female athletes at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.  Boileau, made an educated the choice to “COW TOW” and “OLD BOYS NETWORK” of the International Olympic Committee [IOC] not to rock the boat with IOC executives, of which they attempted to hide from the public knowing the scrutiny and impact that historically gender verification and gender policies has had on so many women over the last fifty years created and designed by Professor Arne Ljungqvist, IOC Medical Commission Chair designed to as “Tools of Oppression” designed by men to oppress women.

Bolieau, was leading up to the Vancouver games, was notified by several leading Canadian sports leaders and experts including the Canadian Centre of Ethics in Sport [CCES] Canada’s anti-doping regulatory body and Canadian Olympic Committee [COC] that gender testing of women athletes would not take place in Vancouver, as it is a clear violation of Canada’s Human Rights Code, which ensures the safety and rights of all Canadians and those visiting Canada.  The CCES’s CEO Paul Melia took it one step further, writing a letter to the the IOC, specifically Arne Ljungqvist, saying we do not support gender verification of female athletes.

The CCES, was the doping control body for the games, as being the host country. Arne Ljungqvist, knowing Canada’s leadership role and stopping gender verification and gender polices, that are inaccurate, unethical and in the case of Ljungqvist, medical/policy fraud and brand abuse by Ljungqvist of which the facts and science and collaborated expertise indicates.  That in-fact, the IOC has been committing human rights violations towards women over the last 50 years. Of which this past October in Cologne Germany at the Play the Game Conference, Georg Facius of Denmark during his presentation with Ljungqvist present and Dr. Bruce Kidd of Canada as a third panelist said, “has only had catastrophic impact on female athletes”.

Facius asked Ljungqvist to step down from the IOC immediately, for the (50) years of incompetence and the gross impact this has had on women.  There very identities taken away from them. Moreover these  women that were virtually socially and physically raped because of his social and medical incompetence of the actual facts of around human physiology and gender.

Facius described it as; “The Major Medical Blunder of the 20th Century”

Leading world experts in bio-science now clearly stating with the science in hand as the IOC never did develop their polices on gender, only hypothothetical. “The science does not match the policies”.  In-fact what the IOC is doing is and has been doing  in-fact unethical, a fraud and are using these policies to gain access solely to women, “claiming them as unwell and wanting to support women’s health”, of which they do not offer to me.  It is a legal tactic to construe the issues to ensure continued access, and lesson their liability.

The women are healthy young women as high performance athletes (race horses), only to be “claimed” falsely unwell when they meet Arne  Ljungqvist and through policy (keeping the public and sport ignorant) justifying  these grotesques actions and – “RAPING THEM”.

As history has shown sadly the last 50 years, own has only led to catastrophic outcomes for individual women, and sadly, the IOC violating their own policies.  So very sad!

Boileau prior to new very clearly all this was going on. Prior to this, several Canadian sport leaders including myself, had correspondence and conference all with him, including Sport Canada president Dan Smith.  This ongoing pressure leading up to the games and with media awareness Sport Canada turned a “blind eye”.  Moreover when Ljungqvist [IOC] was told by Canadian leaders, that gender verification testing would not take place in Canada during the games, Ljungqvist [IOC] ignored Canada’s request and violated and disrespected Canadian law.  Four Vancouver hospitals, when Ljungqvist [IOC] tried to secure a testing location told him, “to get lost and this is not happening in our hospital and or in Canada.” Ljungqvist [IOC] still did not get the message, and bombastically pursued a location, with a Catholic hospital using “religion” as a tool to eventually solidify a clinic location to setup testing.

This could not be more unethical, let alone corrupt on so many levels.

Matthew Fedorek Ph.D now Science Director of the US Anti-Doping Agency [USADA] a pathology graduate from the University of British Columbia [UBC], and once employee of the CCES, setup ran and broke down the gender testing during the Vancouver games. What make this worse, Fedorek has NO expertise on gender let alone association and or academic writing. How insane is this….?  Again, men doing this to women. Sic.

Fedorek, certainly well aware of Canada’s as  well the CCES engagement over the last 8 years and most recently to prevent and stop these horrific practices and misleading, unethical and now noted by leading experts fraudulent by the IOC, which has only had “catastrophic outcomes” as noted by Bruce Kidd in Cologne this past October.

What is very clear, Sport Canada led by Martin Boileau and Matthew Fedorek, engaged in unethical and illegal practices of gender verification which by all extents of medical practices and knowledge by top experts if medical fraud, moreover a series of “tools of oppression” that only physically, socially and violates women.

In the case of the Vancouver Olympics, as I was asked personally by the Canadian Olympic Committee to help educate games “Mission Staff” team on these issues, as seen as an athlete and expert. I graciously declined the COC’s invitation to do so citing, “I can’t tell people how to be human.”

On December 22nd, 2011. We had a conference call with Martin Boileau, Dan Smith, David McCrindle (Sport Canada – policy), Rosemary Pitfield [CCES], myself  and John Dalla-Costa, one of of Canada’s leading ethics specialists.  John said to Boileau during the call; “With all the data collected this past year, to suggest not knowing is no longer a viable answer!”

Bolieau, ignored warning and concerns from IOC Women’s Executive Anita de Frantz, of which she spoke to me and to Sport Canada in fall of 2007, of which leading up to to this time, Canadian sport leaders led by the CCES including the COC, engaged with the IOC to stop these horrific practices and policies towards women.  Which just prior to that led to the social and physical raping of India 800m Santhi Soundarajan which she tried to commit suicide.

The IOC announced prior to the 2000 Sumer Olympics in Sydney Australia, they had discontinued gender testing of women.  This is not so, and is in-fact false.  Historically since 2000 and now 1012, led to more then 8 women being impacted, and the most horrific outcomes.  Boileau knows this but still he let it happen in Canada in Vancouver and still today in domestic policy.

Even though, the CCES and Canadian Academy of Sports Medicine [CASM] have clearly stated publicly and in academic review, as being unethical, false and illegal in Canada.

Still Boileau let it happen and continues today.

John’s comment made very clear to Boileau, and Sport Canada senior staff Smith and McCrindle of which Boileau only backtracked and had no answer when asked the hard questions during the  45min. conversation, knowing where we were going with this. Thus Sport Canada under Boileau’s leadership, of which he has been clearly educated, of which in-fact I have given several presentations in Hull to Sport Canada personally,  Boileau chose  to “COW TOWED to the IOC”, throwing to the wind, all he new and the collaborated information from experts from all over the world in-fact, knowing that women have been getting VIOLATED and RAPED under Arne Ljungqvist.

It has been brought to my attention from the Canadian Olympic Committee as well Sport Canada, the IOC was upset at Canada’s engagement and supporting the women’s ski jumping issue, citing “they were embarrassed”.

We award bad behavior…

Just recently and to make a point, at the 5th World Women’s conference in Las Angeles, IOC President Jacques Rogge made the opening presentation to delegates attending the conference, starting off with a 10 minute video of (34) high performance athletes to get delegates engaged. Of the (34) athletes in the video, (4) were women.  We can only assume, Rogge didn’t get the memo, “Women’s Conference Jacques!”

The IOC as corrupt as they are, seeing themselves above the law, international law and in this case, violated Canada’s Charter of Rights and Human Rights Laws.  Of which, Canada’s Sports Ministry turned a “blind eye” too, and intern did the very same thing to oblige the IOC when the rest of Canada’s experts, sport leaders and Vancouver hospitals said “NO”, and for very good reasons to say “NO”, to protect women from harmful and unlawful and fraudulent practices that have only RAPED, VIOLATED  AND HUMILIATED SO MANY WOMEN TO THEIR VERY CORE.

What makes this worse, a Canadian Ministry, Sport Canada made great attempts to hide  and oppress it from the public and media, knowing that these violations were being committed and the pressure out there to ensure this did not happen in Canada.  Sport Canada – the Canadian Government, chose to violate Canadian law to NOT upset the IOC and knowingly knowing making that distinct educated choice  - and that a women’s rights were being violated.

Young high performance women athletes around the world and women I compete with, see this as a direct threat to ALL women, and gender verification testing and gender policy put upon women, as “symbols” and “Tools of Oppression” designed by dated old men, who are well beyond their best before date, like Ljungqvist wanting to oppress female athletes which we do NOT do to men.  Women are forced socially to fit into a box, to which they cannot be women and be allowed to b strong bodied, let alone be the very best they can be as athletes.  Continuing to fight the stereotypes, and as the IOC has proven over and over again, if you fall outside of that A typical stereotype, we are “going to get you, humiliate and rape you to teach you a lesson.” – and because we have a policy [IOC] as noted by IOC Medical Commission President Patrick Schamasch, in a conference call September 18th 2006, with Canadian Sport leaders, from Sport Canada, the CCES and COC, when asked this – Schamasch abruptly responded when he admitted to not have done the science to support IOC gender policy and had been lying to the public and global sports system said, “I can do anything I want”.  Jaw dropping response, and leaving everyone dumb founded to hear coming out out the mouth of a leading IOC medical executive. STUNNING!

Suggesting by the IOC, very clearly “Not so much we feel we can, but we have a RIGHT to violate you.” MONSTERS!

But made very clear, if you have a “PENIS” you are good to go…. with NO boundaries and or barriers.

A Canadian Conservative Ministry (Sport Canada) has violated Canadian law. In-fact, when reviewed by lawyers, is of criminal consequences and succumbing to the “OLD BOYS CLUB” to serve personal interests, then to protect the rights of women under Canadian Law as stated under Human Rights Code of Canada.

Upon conclusion, with all the data and facts great effort was taken by Sport Canada, COC and VANOC, to oppress any knowledge of a gender verification testing centre in Vancouver, as fellow colleagues from several national sport, medical and academic institutions including the CCES over the last several years, have been key players to speaking out and challenging the IOC which has led to so many catastrophic outcomes towards women. Sport Canada, the COC specifically have been in these presetations, meetings and conference calls with the IOC, there is NO EXCUSE!

Many efforts have been clearly made by sport leaders, medical, academics, journalists from around the world as well (4) Vancouver hospitals denying the IOC access and clearly stating this is not going to happen here or in Canada. Great steps were made to ensure this did NOT happen, and they knowingly chose to ignore the warning and the human rights violations that the IOC was already under scrutiny with the IAAF leading up to the game , thus choosing to violate Canada’s Human Rights Code to “COW TOW” and self-serve to the International Olympic Committee, knowingly the violations the IOC was and has been up against, that has unethically, violated and oppressed so many women and that these polices and and practices had NO basis of actual science, and has only led to solely “catastrophic outcomes of female athletes”. Sport Canada, COC and VANOC were prepared to role the dice when so many warning signs had been given, knowingly going outside of Canadian law, to impress the IOC. Just Sic!

Dr. Eric Vilain (UCLA) “Grows a Conscience” – IOC’s 5th World Women’s Conference 2012

Los Angeles, February 18th, 2012 - Dr. Eric Vilain, MD, PhD, and Professor, Human Genetics, Pediatrics, Urology at the University of California, Los Angeles [UCLA], as well advisor to the International Medical Commission [IOC] regarding gender verification testing of female athletes, developing of the 2003 Stockholm Consensus and most recently by the highly controversial policy by the IOC Hyperandrogenism rule and NCAA’s gender inclusion policy this past September. Another example of an oppression tool (neither supported by factual science) of designed oppression of a women(s) endocrine system, which is illegal, immoral and in-fact medically unethical, positioning the NCAA in a place of future human rights violations with ANY future athletes that the NCAA attempt to us these policies and procedures against any athlete, and god-forbid they do. The lacking common sense, as it relates to human physiology, let alone laws surrounding human rights violations is profound of which NO RESEARCH was done.  Again only done hypothetically, of which science when done properly proves otherwise.

Rogge states in his open comments at the conference;

“We need more women leaders throughout the Olympic Movement, not only to prove our commitment to gender equality, but to take advantage of their brains, their energy and their creativity.”

Vilain invited by the IOC this past weekend in Los Angeles, to present at the IOC’s 5th World Women’s Conference where Vilian made a stunning confession saying;

“Women with disorders of sex development have no competitive advantage than any athlete with good genes”.

It seems Vilain has grown a conscience, recognizing the unfathomable impact of his work and colleagues on so many women over the last five decades of which he has been a participant over the last ten years, that has only had catastrophic impact directly onto female athletes, of which is well know behind the scenes. The development of gender verification testing and the Stockholm Consensus created and published by the IOC, admitted by IOC Medical Commission president Patrick Schamasch, to Canadian government and officials, Mianne Bagger and me on September 18th, 2006, that in-fact the IOC had never done the science and or research to support their current gender policies. It was all done on a hypothetical level. Of which, as science has proven the claims made by Vilain and the IOC as scientifically untrue.

This has been going on behind the scenes away from the public for several years. Vilain’s statements this weekend were NOT new news to those engaged behind the scenes, but the increased pressure on these individuals to tell the truth as in-fact these issues were only continuing to hurt and violate more women.

The most recent evidence, of such impact of a young South African woman of which policies led to severe human rights violations and a degree of humiliation so profound few words can describe, of which her “gender was never in question”, and everything about this incident, as one behind the scenes 99% of what was published was untrue. Though having life long implications for her and many women before her, and brought to the IOC’s attention by Canadian officials in 2006, that more then eight women had been impacted by these false policies since 1985, including a dear friend 800m runner from India Santhi Soundarajan. Who that following December at the Asian games was gender tested and violated. Her very identity thrown into suspicion, of her identity as a woman of which she was violated physically socially, her silver medal being take from her, placed into poverty, thus trying to take her life do to the global humiliation.

We are humiliating women… This is what the IOC is doing, creating false policy unsupported by factual science and data,  as now Vilain is trying now to denounce himself from, for his participation in these horrific policies designed to disempower and humiliate women, designed by men. Suggesting any association to competitive performance, where the mounting medical evidence accumulated over the last several years says otherwise.

Seen by many women and sport, leaders in sport in Canada, now educated about the issues of gender, are asking big questions of the IOC, Vilain and fellow colleagues, led by IOC Medical Commission Chair, Prof. Arne Ljungqvist who has the prolific designer and father of gender testing over the last five decades. Most recently in October 2011, in a joint presentation at the Play the Game conference, in Cologne Germany, speaking about the issues of gender in Olympic and International sport, made stunning comments on gender that by any standard and medical expertise of which he could not medically back.

The all too famous Ljungqvist comment, “Owe it is very difficult.” We can see from Ljungqvist’s response yes it is for him, as he known’s he has failed horribly and these comments are deliberate to avoid his accountability – and taken (50) years. As Canadian top ethics expert John Dalla Costa projected in a recent conference call with Sport Canada recently;

“With the mounting evidence, to suggest ignorance and not knowing, is no longer a viable answer…”

Thus Georg Facius (Denmark) in the same session with Ljungqvist and Canada’s own Dr. Bruce Kidd, Facius in his presentation requested for his immediate resignation from the IOC Medical Commission for the (5) decades for his incompetence, and impact this has had on so many women historically. Remarking “gender testing is a serious business” in his opening statements  further stating “The Major Medical Blunder of the 20th Century” and as Dr. Kidd noted, has only had “catastrophic impact on female athletes”.

Click Here For Full Video Presentation.

The concept of (2) pole sex society doesn’t exist in nature.  This is a man-made concept, as both Facius and Kidd spoke to in Cologne.  Too suggest otherwise is unethical. We are trying to force nature into man-made policy, instead of understanding nature and building policy around it.

“You are trying to fit a square peg into a round hole… Women specifically are getting terrorized and violated physically and socially because of it.”

What Vilain is declaring in LA this past weekend, that what has happen to so many women, Caster, Santhi, including me and dozens of others, should have never happened. Through their policies, which again were ONLY hypothetical, not backed by REAL science and has led to human rights violations carried out specifically on women. These have been declared “Tools of Oppression” on ALL women, as noted in the conference outcome report, parallels and is consistent the problems in sport, sport participation and leadership position within International sport and Olympic programming.

Outcome Results of LA Women’s Conference – The numbers are staggering but speaks to the reality of the OPPRESSION of women, and the “TOOLS” designed and measured to do just that.

What we are seeing is the “stereotype” of woman of which women are forced to fit into, which we do not do to men. Men it is an open field. Thus is you fall outside of Atypical socially definition accepted female; “look out we are going to get you and we will humiliate you…”, breaking ALL social, ethical laws and human rights. The sad part is too, the IOC they think can do this and feel they have a right to violate women, as IOC President on a conference  call with Canadian officials when asked about gender testing me in-fact as an athlete he replied, “I can do anything I want…”. Though as shocking as that was, in principal there lack of, through ignorance and perpetuating fear and “pinning women against women”, and suggesting competitive performance advantage, of which they cannot prove and never will be, focusing on the stereotype of “men overpowering women”, which again is not true by science and they know it. What they in-fact have been doing disempowering women and placing limits on us, not allowing women to appear strong bodied and become great female athletes. Again we allow this for men and not women.

This is a social problem, and was never an issue of physiology.

Vilain’s presentation though note worthy from the standpoint as a key figure and consultant to the IOC Medical Commission, his 180 degree turn that no longer as self-proclaimed experts who in-fact are NOT experts, and not in the pockets or friends of the IOC, the real evidence of which they have continued to try to oppress over the last several years, can no longer hide the past and in-fact now asking enormous ethical questions from a medical perspective of Vilain and others who participated in these programs of policy development with the IOC, on the basis if Human Rights and participation and safety in sport. These guys who term “themselves” as “experts” can no longer denied as the evidence and medical expertise, says otherwise.

It can only be assumed, Vilain is trying to distance himself from this history. Unfortunately, the athletes who have been violated by these policies did not have that choice and or protections. What Vilain and the IOC need to understand very clearly, that those who commit Human Rights Violations don’t get a free pass either. Admitting to what has happened is only the first step.

The knowledge Valain projected we’ve known for years… and have been well known within these circles. What the issues are now, is the accountability of those who have committed these crimes against women.

WE the women have paid a very dear price for it and this incompetence and we did not get a free pass. We got the constellation prize… Gender verification and full public humiliation and discrimination and our very identities tested and scrutinized globally… Vilain is looking for an OUT! Those violated didn’t get that option, why should the violators? Sic!

The shoe is now on the other foot and there is way too much evidence – the level of expertise is over powering, and it is important for the principals of sport and future of the Olympic Movement, that this dark history is identified, and be able to move beyond it, so no more women will be physically and socially humiliated and as Maria José Martínez-Patiño said, she felt “RAPED” in 1985. Which is a common expression by most of the women directly exposed, implicated, isolated and assaulted directly in these experiences.

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE OTHER IT IS STEALING YOUR SOUL. WHO HAS THAT RIGHT?

WE ARE REAL HUMAN-BEINGS AND WOMEN BEHIND THESE WORDS… JUST LIKE YOU…

“We must stop the hurt now…” As I told IOC Medical Commission President Patrick Schamasch September 18th, 2006 by telephone, with Canadian sport leaders. “Someone will be killed if this is not stopped.”  Since this time, (8) more women have fallen that I have come to know unfortunately personally.

IAAF – Releases Today HA Regulations – Explanatory Notes re Hyperandrogenism – Continued Aggression, Oppression and Medicalization of Women Athletes.

A tremendous setback for women’s participation in sport, human rights and Olympic Movement.

__________________________________________________________________________________________
“Despite the well documented sorry history of the medicalization of women, it medicalizes the definition of womanhood one more time, taking the expression of embodied gender identity out of the hands of the very humans involved, and setting up many other young people for the devastating treatment that Caster Semenya experienced. Moreover, it flies in the face of the overwhelming evidence of the tremendous hormonal variability among humans.

What is further shocking, the IAAF and IOC projecting the athletes health is at risk and or see as “abnormal” to purposely publicly mislead to legitimize their policy and unsupported actions.  Where in-fact most high performance female athletes have raised level of androgens for various natural reasons, ad that that they are some of the healthiest women on the planet.  Only to be presumed “unwell” when being ONLY confronted by the IAAF and IOC.

In the elite  mens division, there are are no set limits – in-fact promoted and take advantage of to push the male human performance barriers.

This is a social ethics problem, which in-fact has whatsoever nothing to do with the athletes themselves.  This is an entrenched  and historical problem of sport, IOC and IAAF and how ALL women are perceived as high performance athletes as women in sport.”

“The bad news is that the new policy seems sexist in its philosophy. Indeed, it is so sexist that it may even count as a violation of Title IX, which will matter because the international policies will undoubtedly trickle down to school-based sports.

The hormones in question are not naturally exclusive to men. Women and men naturally make androgens — sometimes called strength-building hormones — including testosterone.

Yet despite the fact that testosterone belongs to women, too, the I.O.C. and the I.A.A.F. are basically saying it is really a manly thing: “You can have functional testosterone, but if you make too much, you’re out of the game because you’re not a real woman…”

“…Yet this newly proposed biological reduction of women to a hormonally disadvantaged class of people — one medically made disadvantaged, if necessary — struck many of us as regressive from the standpoint of women’s rights. Indeed, it reminds me of those itty-bitty shorts that college women’s volleyball players must wear. They each sexualize the bodies of female athletes as a requirement of play. They each insist that a woman never be manly.”

Bolt redefined “limit” of how fast a “MAN” can run – Johnson
Jamaica Observer
Monday April 18th, 2011

Timely Article – Interview with Usain Bolts coach Brooks Johnson speaking on how
Usain’s performances changed the landscape on what the limits are to human performance and pushing those limits.

Important to note:

Coach Johnson must be speaking about “MENS” performances as there are “NO” placed “LIMITS” based on ones MALE gender and or physiology or naturally producing high hormone levels. In-fact, those very facets are exploited and pursued in male high performance sport, as coach Johnson suggests about Usain Bolts unique competitive advantage and physiology is in-fact seen as taking to a whole new level and chasing human limitations.

Where in the case of women, as the IOC and IAAF have just done by further the medicalization of women and their gender, which flies in the face of overwhelming evidence of the tremendous hormonal variability in women, of which most most if not the majority of high performance women have, which assists like the men, with other physiology qualities makes them high performance competitors in their given sport.

The IOC and IAAF, feel they are empowered OVER women to DENY women the fairness and ability to compete, perform at their very best, by regulating imposing standards of womens gender and physiology. Solely imposing standards by men of womens gender, and allowing men to run and or participate with NO LIMITS in-fact promoted, by men for men.

Coach Johnson’s comments reflects the true narrative of the issues of gender in sport as it pertains women and mens development and participation in sport.

“MONTEGO BAY, St James — Legendary American track and field coach Brooks Johnson says that the exploits of Jamaican sprint superstar Usain Bolt is helping to change people’s perception of the limit of the human body to run faster.”

Coach Johnson further stating:

“The beautiful thing about Bolt is that he can inspire people in other events to do what he did in his events, to totally change the landscape, to totally change the perception of what is the limit or close to the limit of human performance and that is what you see…”

As Anna notes unknowingly, when we speak of “scientists do not know how fast people run or human physical limits,”limits, as her article indicates is based on solely mens performances… Her article specifically reflects this.

As the IOC/IAAF have created continued physical barriers for women to seek the same and or above performances. Of which, MEN the “PEOPLE” she is speaking of, are in-fact just MEN. WOMEN are not “PEOPLE” in sport thus justifies humiliating practices of gender testing to prove womanhood, and barriers to women’s position in sport, moreover to seek best performances with NO LIMITATIONS as men have enjoyed in high performance sport.

Gender testing, Stockholm Consensus and recent statements by the IOC/IAAF reflect this very clearly, to continue to oppress ALL women, women performances and excellence at the International and Olympic levels of sport participation.

Immediate Response to IAAF approving the adoption of new rules and regulations governing the eligibility of females with hyperandrogenism to take part in women’s competition

Immediate Response to  IAAF approving the adoption of new rules and regulations governing the eligibility of females with hyperandrogenism to take part in women’s competition:

Press Association

I have received many requests from international media… To make it easier as I have to train and compete as well, here is my “Official Statement” to the IAAF and IOC announcement:
“Despite the well documented sorry history of the medicalization of women, it medicalizes the definition of womanhood one more time, taking the expression of embodied gender identity out of the hands of the very humans involved, and setting up many other young people for the devastating treatment that Caster Semenya experienced. Moreover, it flies in the face of the overwhelming evidence of the tremendous hormonal variability among humans.
I will pursue a two-track strategy, while I am a high performance competitor I will abide by whatever policy is established, but as a human rights activist/educator I will join with others who believe that the Stockholm Consensus and the IOC/IAAF policies should be completely ABOLISHED and that anyone who self-identifies as a woman be allowed to compete as a woman.”

IOC Press Release – IOC addresses eligibility of female athletes with hyperandrogenism – Adopts the Coalition of Athletes for Inclusion in Sport (CAIS) Recommendations.

The Executive Board (EB) of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) today confirmed the need to set up clear rules to determine the eligibility of female athletes with hperandrogenism in female competitions, starting with the Olympic Games in London next year.

“Important to Note: This statement by the IOC is a public omission that “gender testing” of female athletes was never needed. Many athletes in the last several years so physically and publicly violated (human rights/discrimination) by gender testing which proves nothing, could have been so simply dealt with as simply as a blood test within the anti-doping model.”

An incredible moment (6) years of hard work and amazing support from experts around the world and support of Canadian Sport leaders made it possible.  We will never see one more athlete in modern sport history receive such harm by failed policy as it pertains to ones individual diversity and or identity.

Transgender Student-Athletes and Sex-Segregated Sport: Developing Policies of Inclusion for Intercollegiate and Interscholastic Athletics

Transgender Student-Athletes and Sex-Segregated Sport: Developing Policies of Inclusion for Intercollegiate and Interscholastic Athletics

Abstract:

Educators have long recognized the physical, psychological, social, and educational benefits that sport provides to students. Yet today, the barriers to athletic participation that exclude the increasingly visible population of transgender students are largely ignored. With a few notable exceptions, most governing bodies of scholastic and collegiate sports have yet to meaningfully consider how to incorporate transgender students into the existing athletic structure, which for the most part divides male and female athletes into separate programs. Many athletes and sport organizers assume that transgender athletes have an unfair advantage when they compete in sports consistent with their gender identity, whether due to residual, natural physical traits associated with their natal sex (in the case of male-born, female-identified athletes), or with the hormone therapy transition (in the case of female-born, male-identified athletes). At the same time, transgender students may be excluded, discouraged, or simply feel uncomfortable participating in athletics programs that match the sex of their birth but which are inconsistent with their gender identity and gender expression. As a result, for students whose gender identity is inconsistent with their natal sex, the entire sex-segregated world of athletics may be formally or effectively off limits.

A few associations of educational institutions have responded to this problem by adopting policies governing transgender athlete participation. After describing, contrasting, and evaluating these policies, this Article concludes that the best policies are those that, as a general rule, allow athletes to participate in sex-segregated sport in a manner consistent with their gender identity rather than their natal sex. In support of this conclusion, this paper will show that neither law nor science gives clear, dispositive guidance to policymakers seeking to balance the right of transgender athletes to participate with the perceived fairness concerns related to their cross-sex participation. Thus, educational considerations should play a primary role in creating participation policies. These considerations include the physical, academic, and socio-emotional benefits to individual athletes as well as the value that diversity brings to teams, schools, and communities. To best serve these goals, which educators claim as the basis for educationally-supported athletics in the first place, policies governing secondary school and college athletics should allow athletes to participate in a manner consistent with their genuine gender identity. Any exceptions or limitations to this default rule must be made with educational values in mind, and must be narrowly tailored to demonstrable, concrete concerns about fairness.

For Immediate Release: Response Letter – Chris Dolan, Lana Lawless lawyer – CNN’s article – Transsexual golfers prove drivers for change

___________________________________________________________________

Dear Mr. Dolan,

I have a couple of questions for you – I was quite interested in your response to CNN – reading over morning coffee.

You expressed;
“He told CNN: “It is easy for Mianne Bagger to have those views because she was well-established on her European tour. The view from the top always looks rosier.”

Could you explain, how one Mianne is established in the European Tour? She in-fact broke through (2) tours to participate as a female in professional golf. As well have been working with ALL tours over the last couple of years very progressively -

Could you as well explain your comment when you spoke about Mianne;
“The view from the top always looks rosier”

You never knowing Mianne, moreover her life experience to over the last (8) years what she has experienced and the level of hate she has had to overcome to play the game she is so passionate about. I would suggest you use GOOGLE as a starting point, before you make such comment;

“The ‘female at birth’ ruling had been set in stone and despite Miss Bagger’s good intentions over the years, nothing had been changed and there was no indication that things would have been changed,” added Dolan.

Yet again you are incorrect – and have been working with all (5) tours on this, and Anti-doping… Mianne has made enormous progress for golf, and is why she is so supported and loved by ALL tours, including the LPGA. As well an educator and well supported amongst national, International, Olympic and Anti-doping circles… Engaging  ALL sport around diversity and normal human difference which impacts each one of us -

So it is clear, as a collective we are working with International sport, Olympic, International and anti-doping partners US and European meeting/collaborating over the next few months to bring global change, led by Canada. This will no longer be an issue in sport as the goals are focused for 2011, prior to London Olympics in 2012. As 2012, will have the most diverse participation in any games history to date.

This is what Mianne Bagger has done – at great risk to her personally and her professional career. She unselfishly has sacrificed herself for the betterment of others.

She(our) focus is much different then yours and your clients. We made clear to you several times, we are NOT the same nor do we support your agenda, and clearly it is personal, and NOT reflective of greater interest of sport, women and of diversity.

Public Health Agency of Canada Questions & Answers: Gender Identity in Schools

Public Health Agency of Canada
Questions & Answers: Gender Identity in Schools

First published in 1994 and revised in 2003 and 2008, the Public Health Agency of Canada’s Canadian Guidelines for Sexual Health Education (Guidelines) were developed to assist professionals working in the area of health promotion and sexual health education in programming which supports positive sexual health outcomes. Feedback from a national evaluation of the Guidelines indicated the need for companion documents to provide more detailed information,,evidence and resources on specific issues. In response, the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) identified a ‘question and answer’ format as an appropriate way to provide information to educators and other professional working with school aged populations. The Questions and Answers styled documents are intended to cover a range of topics reflecting current issues in sexual health education with school-aged populations, are evidence-based and use inclusive language as reflected in the Guidelines.

This document, Questions & Answers: Gender Identity in Schools, is intended to address the most commonly asked questions regarding the gender identity of youth in school settings.  The goal of this resource is to assist educators, curriculum and program planners, school administrators, policy-makers and health professionals in the creation of supportive and healthy school environments for youth struggling with issues of gender identity.
